Edwin Vargas, 24, was taken into custody on an arrest warrant on Tuesday, Jan. 24, said Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore on Twitter.

Pennsylvania court records show the 24-year-old was charged with murder and denied bail at his arraignment Tuesday. He'll return to court on Feb. 7 for a preliminary hearing.

Philly police were called to the 7300 block of Rowland Avenue in Mayfair just before 10 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, for reports of a person with a gun, Daily Voice has reported.

Officers arrived to find two victims — an 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old man — dead at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds to the body, authorities said. Another man, 24, was rushed to Nazareth Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds where he died just minutes later, they added.

The fourth gunshot victim, a 28-year-old man, was rushed to Jefferson Torresdale hospital in critical condition. His status as of Wednesday, Jan. 25 was not clear.

Police sources reportedly told 6abc that investigators are searching for three more gunmen in connection with the Jan. 9 killings.
